I think a really terrible nightmare would be: I’d be in this field, in the middle of nowhere, right? And all around me would be these wolves. Really lean hungry wolves, growling and bristling, drooling at me. And I’d be freaked out, because there was just no way out with these wolves. No break in their ranks. Just wolves as far as the eye could see.
And I’d look up, and I’d see all these really gross hungry birds, like there’d be vultures and hawks and falcons and huge eagles, all circling in anticipation of a feeding frenzy. They’d be really quick and have sharp beaks, but also just be very very cutthroat and ruthless. And the vultures, while not going to strike me, were clearly ready to rip the flesh from my bones once I was down.
And then I’d look to my feet, and crawling all over my feet and coming up my legs would be these huge-ass cockroaches and also wasps and spiders. And yes, the wasps could fly, but they wouldn’t be, they’d be crawling up my legs. And they wouldn’t be stinging me just yet, they’d be clearly mad and planning on stinging me, but they’d hadn’t started yet, so I’d be in that really high adrenaline fearful stage. And the cockroaches would just be being all big and gross.
So, all of a sudden, the wolves would start to pounce, and the hawks, eagles, vultures would start to dive, and the gross bugs would all rare up to sting me, and right at that moment…
I’d realize that it was Wednesday at 8pm, and I was supposed to be meeting my friend Kari at Sutton Pizza, but I just totally flaked and forgot and was in this stupid field somehow.
GagagaGOOEY! That would be TERRIBLE! Kari gets so pissed when I’m late to shit.
